About Cultures
Cultures is the culmination of more than 5 years of scouring the African Subcontinent in search of beautiful, unique, traditional and contemporary tribal and cultural textiles, sculpture, pottery, furnishings, paintings, masks and other tribal art forms. Our collaboration with the artisans in Africa brings a rich cultural exchange and allows Cultures to share this beautiful, living, African Art with the customer.

Discover African Art with Cultures International.

Owner, Sandra Perry, a collector of African Art, Textiles, and ethnic decor, was thrilled when she discovered the many ethnic treasures to be found in Africa after her first visit in 2001.  She discovered many African artisans who were off the commercial import radar and who were anxious to have their ethnic art work shown.  Perry made it her mission to purchase their work, and import it from Africa to the United States, and in the process has given opportunity and independence to countless African artisans in several countries. Perry has returned to Africa many times since that first visit, although most trips have been from 4-6 weeks, she has stayed as long as 5 months finding new African artisans, working with them on ethnic design and getting to know the people of Africa. Africa is now a second home.
